I am using Virtual Box 6.1 and will use it to expand the disk space for one my VBox Ubuntu image which was almost full.<\/p>\n

Click on File<\/strong> > Virtual Media Manager <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can see the linux mint vdi<\/code> this is the disk which I increased size for using simple steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step-1 : Clone the disk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is always recommended to ensure you have a copy that you can maintain in case of any irrecoverable failures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Click on Copy<\/li>
  • Follow the steps in the wizard<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Step – 2 Modify the attributes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Select the copy of the disk you just created and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I will increase by 2 GB<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3: Resize<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Boot up the machine and you can see some free space which you can adjust using any disk tool of you choice<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can click the gear for selected filesystem and increase the size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
